Random Rants
The past week has been hectic. Work, eating out, work, clubbing, work, pasalubong-buying with sister, work, movie with sister and cousin, work, dinner and some drinks with friends, work; talk about an active lifestyle. These are things I can barely squeeze together in one month. To cap things off, last night, err… this morning rather, something else went to active mode…again.
My sister went home to the province so I had the entire place to myself. Let’s just say I had a visitor at 5 AM who left not even before 6 AM. It’s a bummer but it’s good to see him again after months of disconnection. The last time I saw him was at the domestic airport, with who I guess was his sister. Being the bitch that he is, he didn’t even give a hint of a smile or any recognition of my presence. I know he saw me although he was wearing sunglasses, a simple nod would’ve been nice. I don’t believe that he didn’t recognize me at all.
Anyway, last night was our third “meeting”, and I barely go for thirds. The only guy whom I did a third with is this UP Diliman cutie with Spanish roots. Going back to last night, we (or at least he) almost didn’t make it to my unit because genius didn’t have an ID with him. I almost had to beg the security guy at the lobby to let him in. Gawd.
We didn’t get to go full-on since he had to run but I appreciate the goodnight kiss. I had to drop a hint but I appreciate the gesture especially coming from this cold hearted snob. I sent him a message this afternoon and I didn’t get any reply. I am not surprised.
I wouldn’t call this the end of drought but a slight drizzle in the middle of summer.
Not So Holy WeekIt's Lenten season once again and the city is practically a ghost town because of the holidays. Almost empty streets, closed malls, and zero traffic congestion give me mixed emotions.
First of all, I love it that the traffic is smooth. I just hate the fact knowing that while 90% of people are out of town, out of the country and vacationing or taking a rest, I (together with my colleagues, along with nurses, etc.) still have to work. You see, my work DOES NOT acknowledge holidays; Christmas, Labor Day, New Year, whatever, nada. I know, it sucks.
As previously announced, we were supposed to have our original rest days next week which are Sunday and Monday. I had planned to spend Sunday night at my Aunt's house in the other part of the city because it's my cousin's birthday. But thanks to the almighty bosses at the office, I may have to cut short my partying since they decided to retain our new temporary rest days, Monday and Tuesday, for another week. Yet another reason I should get a new job already. I wanted to vomit so hard when I knew about this. I was infuriated so this morning, after shift, I formally informed my supervisor that I will be very late on Sunday night.
God, I need a break. Boracay you have no idea how much I miss you.
Project Runway: Ferowsh!
I love this season. Christian Siriano is fucking fantastic and I think Rami and Jillian are also incredibly and undeniably talented. I am obsessed with it right now thanks to youku.com.
I have to go and sleep. 'Coz you know, I have work... on a Saturday night. Ugh.
Auf Wiedersehen!

Chelsea and The Prince of Jaipur
Work? Oh that. Devoured 2 bars of chocolate yesterday morning... only had cold water... sore throat... medical certificate... called in sick... blah, blah, blah.
My sister and I were treated out by a relative (let's just think she's a cousin because it's quite complicated) who is gradually becoming an international jet-setter based in Singapore.--- Yes, I am so jealous. Kiss the grounds of Paris for me please. Thanks.
We hit up one of my personal favorite hot spots her in Manila, The Fort, for dinner.
We ate at Chelsea where we dined al fresco. I think I put on 5 pounds from all the scrumptious dishes. The pictures don't do the place and food justice.

This is basically a humongous slab of ribs with mashed potatoes and organic vegetables. I'm not crazy about this one but I truly appreciate the tenderness of the meat, so kudos. It's worth a try.

This is the sea bass with asparagus with what I think was cream of tartar or something. The fish was amazingly tender and tasty. It was sitting on top of mashed potatoes and it was hard to tell which is which if not for the flavors that summon your taste buds to go from juicy tender fish to fresh potatoes-- undoubtedly a winner.
We originally intended to have dessert at Conti's but later decided to pass since we were so stuffed I could barely breathe. You have no idea how hard of a time I was having sucking the fucking tummy in.

Me: Yeah, I know (smiles). I wanted to add "Well it is a club you know," but I thought he might think I'm being sarcastic.
Cute guy: Oh, is it okay if I talk to them?
Me: No, talk to me you gorgeous asshole.
Me: Sure. (Introduction, blahblahblah... guy talks and dances to cousin the entire night... blah...)
We left pretty early because my cousin got tired of the guy making the moves on her. Plus she said he was too young for her. He's a year older than me.
Ugh. Straight guys.
Anyhow, last night was hot.

New Things

Picture taken with my new phone. Yup, I've finally replaced my ancient Nokia 3660 after almost four years straight of everyday use. My skin on the other hand, is a work in progress.

Weekend Update
Yesterday, I met up with my great friend Shey again. As usual, insanity, laughter, sarcasm ensued.
I have been sick of my hair so today, I finally ended my long overdue emo-bang days. The new do is really simple and nice and it's definitely refreshing.
Buh-bye to these looks...

Fug! Fug! Fug!
My new hair and more pictures on my next post!

The Suze Orman Show
This woman basically talks to live callers who I suppose seek her expertise and advice with regards to their finances. She's like the Dr. Phil of financial confusions. I love her Oprah-like exclamations though, "YOU ARE JUST ABOUT TO GET OUT OF CREDIT CARD DEBT AND NOW YOU'RE PLANNING TO DIG ANOTHER HOLE?!" It's amusing how she's almost scolding her callers.Gawd, I'm loving this woman. And her jacket is quite nice too. I need this bitch in my life.
Me: Hi, I'm earning a penny and I'm planning to buy a pair of slippers, a couple of shirts and a new cellphone? And maybe a pair of pants too if I can squeeze it in.
Suze: Why are you buying all these things?
Me: Because my cellphone is ancient and I need to update my wardrobe.
Suze: Well you might as well just shoot yourself in the head. No! You are denied!
Me: But...
Suze: No!
I'm telling you this is the kind of intervention that I need.

Working Hard and Playing Harder
I was up from 4 PM, Saturday until 1 AM, Monday. That's about 33 hours of being up and conscious.
I don't have all the time and energy to elaborate but basically, here's how it went chronologically:
1. Dinner at Glorietta with friends
2. Walking and camera whoring around
3. Work, work, work
4. Enchanted Kingdom with sister and a family friend
I do need the diversion and I didn't miss a beat. Gawd, it was so much fun. And I'm proud I didn't call in sick at work in favor of my monkey business. I'm such a noble professional. Ugh.
I love it that I got to bond with my friends again. (Shey are you reading this?! Ugh. I think you missed one revolution of the earth. We had zo much fun, you know. Hahahah... I know, you're in a difficult time right now. I'm praying for you)
EK is well, enchanting. It's so awesome to be able to be a kid again once in a while. Too bad the Space Shuttle, the ultimate, ultimate thriller, was closed. Such a bummer. It was so fun nonetheless. I had wet underwear all the while thanks to the Rio Grande Rapids. It was a very full day, err, day and a half rather.
Watch me levitate, see us fly, get wet and cam whore all over the place. Here's why the batteries of my camera got 100% drained:

Rendezvous
I met up with this guy the other day who turned out to be another asshole, AND(!) I didn't realize he was actually my "first" until I finally saw him come into the door. Of course the prick didn't remember me but I told him about it until he was able to recall that night when he hit on me in an Internet cafe.
Anyway, to cut the story short, we didn't have sex because he is a lame ass effeminate psycho with fugly toes (nice toes = my fetish). It's okay though since the only reason I invited him over anyway is because I've been having the itch for days and it's been weeks since I got it on and I think I've been re-virginized already. It's fair game since I think the lost of interest was mutual. So yeah, I'm quite glad it didn't happen. Otherwise, it would've been another hook-up I would've regretted 3 seconds after shooting my jizzle manizzle.

Busy Bee 2
3 PM- My cousin, Aunt, sister and I together with my Aunt’s friend went to Duty Free. I love how everything is priced in dollars but are actually cheaper than those in the mainstream market.
Late lunch at Kenny Roger's-- rib sandwich with fries.
Saturday Night – 11:30 PM
I went out with my cousin since he’s been bugging me to go out that particular night. I didn’t really have anything to do so to Greenbelt we went. First, we hit up Ice Vodka Club where some girls were whoring it up to some foreigners. We only had 1 drink each and decided to wander around. On our way to Greenbelt 1, we saw Gretchen Baretto (Filipino celebrity) and I must say that she does look pretty in person and seems to be very slim and tall.
Anyway, if you have any chance, you should check out the newly opened Greenbelt 5. It’s amazing. I love, love the place and the interiors; especially the lighting fixtures—fantastic. I wonder who designed those. This part of Greenbelt is not fully operating yet but there are a couple of restaurants that are already in business. I haven’t tried any of them yet but I read some reviews and I hope I can my make own comments about the food there soon after some food tripping. Bang and Olufsen, Gaupo (Filipino designer), Balenciaga and Marc by Marc Jacobs are just some of the stores that I know will be occupying this precious space anytime soon. High-end much? Absolutely. Better start filling those piggy banks.
Back to the night-out, after Ice, cousin and I went to Temple . I don’t have anything against tweens and twinks, and I mean I did go out quite a lot myself when I was in high school but sometimes I just can’t stand the sight of these 15 year-old girls in fuck-me heels and with 1-inch make-up and baring barely there bosoms. I’m sure some of these kids barely have pubic hair and I bet they can well give Paris Hilton a run for her money. Oh well, it’s quite entertaining actually. The last time we dropped by Temple , there was this plump girl lain on her girlfriends’ arms with what seems to be puke all over her dress. I love it.
And just as I thought the High School Musical didn’t fail to show up especially it was actually prom night—the girls were in their in dresses while the guys rocked the suits. But enough of this under-aged partyphiles. Ugh.
I like Temple because of the music and sometimes because of the crowd too. That particular night, I just embraced the music while dancing by myself on the second level taking random sips of my complimentary Baccardi Sprite. I also like this place because smoking is strictly prohibited inside, something Embassy and other clubs I hope would be implementing as well.
At about 2:30 AM, we decided to call it a night and headed to Starbucks to refresh.
Saturday night but technically Sunday dawn - 3:00 AM – Cousin 1 and 2 and I pigging out while waiting for my sister to arrive—she also went out with her friends.
This is why I’ve been getting fat.
02.10.08 - Sunday
Woke up at noon with a slight hangover. At around 2 PM, I accompanied my cousin to Robinson's Galleria for a little shopping. I I think he trusts my taste and it's flattering and all until he buys the stuff you actually want for yourself (No he didn't). Yup, there's this striped burgundy and white shirt I was eyeing on during my last trip to Topman, and guess what, he bought the damn thing. Ugh.
Anyway, after walking around, we grabbed a bite at Plato Wraps at the food court. Anyone who hasn't tried this goodness is missing a lot. We love it, I love it, you'll love it. Start with the chunky chicken. Yummers.Still Sunday, around 3PM
Anyway, as usual, Rica and I shared stories and talked non-stop. We ate at this nice place called Balducci. It looks like a place where people eat their steaks and salads with vinegrette but for some reason we had pizza. How chic. Hahahah...
Got back to my Aunt's place at 11PM. All in all, that was an awesome night too even though by this time my pocket was getting a lot thinner. All for good times.
On the last day of my four-day break from work, my sister and I went back to the condo then did the groceries. I capped off my weekend with a super scrumptious dinner of tocino and canned tuna.
