Random Rants

Gym

It's good to be back at the gym. I've been feeling guilty lately for not exercising enough so after about a month of not working out, I decided to do some crunches and lift some weights today. There was a hottie there and the music was pretty hot so I lasted an hour and a half instead of the usual 60 minutes.

Activities

In the last month, I've been busy being sick, applying for a job, getting laid, and renting videos at Video City. I know it's so late but it wasn't until last week that I got to watch Milk. It's pretty good. Touching. I almost cried. Tonight I'll watch Elephant, another Gus Van Sant film.

July is just around the corner and hopefully all my plans will fall through to make it a more exciting month than June. My job is already shitty so I need the non-work related aspects of my life to be good.

Goodbyes

It's unfortunate that I don't have his picture, but we have a pet French poodle named King Kong. He has a black, very curly coat. We have to give him away because we can't take care of him anymore and he pees on the couch, floor, pillows, every-fucking-where. It's saddening but I'd be lying if I don't find peace and comfort in his departure. It's for the better anyway.

(I used to like dogs. I still do. But the dogs I usually wind up with lately are the human kind.)

Speaking of departures, Michael Jackson's death is so tragic isn't it? Too bad we won't be seeing what was supposed to be a great comeback. Anyway, I'll miss you both King Kong and MJ.

Antbiotic Days

The last time I went to work is exactly one week ago. Thanks to my inflammed throat, which has been fucked up for 2 weeks now, I'm left with only 2 days of paid leave credits to last me six months.

I saw the doctor last Monday. He prescribed me Augmentin, which is so fucking expensive, and Orahex. I swear, I hate spending for meds. It's Friday now and my throat is still not completely back to normal. I'm praying I'll be all well and dandy on Monday because I unfortunately have to go back to work by then.

Enough of that stuff though. What I don't mind burning my money for though are nice things just like these espadrilles from Zara. These are the shoes that the Cebu Pacific FA in my last post covets.
That's all for now. Happy weekend!

Cebu Pacific Flight 373

Thanks to flight attendant Life, this turbulent, yet uneventful time up in the air got more interesting.

I sat by the aisle and while doing the head count, he passed by my row and made a quick second glance at my shoes. About ten minutes later, he approached me.

FA: Sir tanong lang po. Pwede po malaman kung saan nyo nabili yung shoes nyo?
Me: Zara.
FA: Mmm...

Later on, he just had to come back and asked how much I got the shoes for, which Zara store I got it from, and during deplaning, he even made a joke about me leaving the shoes behind.

I love shit like this.

Catching Up

It's insane how I've been out of the circulation lately. I honestly cannot believe I'm surviving without Internet connection available 24/7.

This is me about 3 or 4 years ago.
Anyway, I arrived yesterday from my brief weekend getaway. I went home to visit my parents, relatives and friends and ate all the lechon and seafood I could stuff my face with.

I needed that break, really. Philippine Fashion Week came and went, the A(H1N1) flu is starting to spread, but I somehow didn't care so much. I've been too busy with other things.

Applying for a visa is a bitch isn't it?

P.S.
The photo above was taken by a then 4 year-old nephew in the elementary school I went to which is literally just in front of our house.
