Gaga in Manila

Are you going?

I’ll put to rest the eyeliner wearing, melodramatic emo kid in me and talk about something else for a bit.

Lady Gaga will be performing here in Manila on August 11, 2009 (less than two weeks away). I’ve been thinking of going to this concert since early July but it wasn’t until yesterday that I learned about my schedule for next month hence I haven’t really made any certain plans yet. I called Ticketnet this morning and it turns out all the tickets are sold out except for the cheap seats at the Upper Box B and General Admission areas. I’m kind of surprised and bummed all the reserved seating tickets for Upper Box A are sold out but that’s probably a good thing since I'm poor and I have other things to spend on anyway.

The real dilemma now though is; who do I go with? I’m considering going all by myself but I don’t know. Loser much? Isn’t it a little awkward to jump and dance around to Poker Face all alone in a crowd of cliques?

Counting Wounds

It's like I have so much love in me and I don't know what to do with it. So I thought the best thing to do with the most sense is to give some of it away. But I always end up giving it to the wrong people, and along the way I lose myself.

The perfect way to come out of it is to learn a lesson and develop an inner strength. But that remains to be realized. Until then, let me feel each stab, let me shed each tear and let me hope it will be over soon.

Emo Night

I love sleeping in my old torn, hole-y white shirts.

I was down and was overreacting last night so I decided to snap away a little bit just before I managed to doze off.

I need a haircut, AND a facial.

When I was in college, I dreamed of earning my first million by the age of 23. I'm turning 23 in less than two months; my savings is laughable and I can't even get myself into a serious relationship.

Aah, dreams. Have a good one tonight.

Princeville and GA

Last night was an awesome one. Somebody played around big time.

But the most important question is: Have you done the buhat-buhat? And is it just me or is this thing as hilarious as I think it is?! Please tell me all about it.

2699 Window 9

So my parentals, sister and myself went to the US Embassy this morning for our visa application interview. Unfortunately, we didn't get approved after not even 5 minutes of talking to the consul. Gawd, I wanted to bawl. Bitterness is shitty, isn't it?

Anyway, there's always next time right? California's going to have to wait.

We're hitting the mall later to celebrate our rejection by supporting the local economy.

Oh No They Didn't

Is it just me or is it actually shocking that they've started making fake Marc by Marc Jacobs shirts? The bags, fine; I've seen ones from Chloe to Prada. But shirts? Marc by Marc Jacobs? Jeez, they're stepping it up aren't they? The worse is these shirts are extremely cute. But fake is fake.

I saw these at Greenhills yesterday when I was with my good friend H. I didn't bother to check how much they cost.

P.S.
I finally have DSL at home. PLDT myDSL is great but it took them two days to complete the installation. The guys who came over yesterday morning told us they'll be back in the afternoon but they didn't come back until today. That's not right.

Gaga Gang (2)

I didn't eat a single thing today but it's fine because I look good and I wore stockings with my Chucks so fuck you.

I'm nice and I just came to dance. But don't spill your drink on me or I'll cut your face.

Any takers?

After our mandatory cam whore session, Shey and I finally went down to Cinna Bar at the lobby where we had our complimentary drinks and continued to snap away a little more.
This is for the times we didn't get to drink shit-faced together when we needed to do so very much.

Just before midnight, we hit up Greenbelt. We went to Ice Vodka Bar for the mojitos. The drinks were fine but the music was mediocre. The DJ seemed like some random pundit who experimented with the sound system and based his tracks on a list of horrible songs usually played by aweful radio stations. No wonder there's only two people dancing; a pasty caucasian guy who occasionally wiped the floor with his pants and his partner, a Filipino girl who would later wipe the former's jizz off her mouth.
I remembered these to be better.
Bored with Greenbelt, we decided to check out LAX at the bay side of Mall of Asia's complex. I expected a lot since the club opened with DJ Samantha Ronson spinning. I'm not sure if it's the poor facade or the sad line outside, but we decided to leave without even trying to get in. Basically, we just went from Makati to MOA to pee.

I recall having a great time at Ascend a few weeks ago so Shey and I jumped in a cab and headed to The Fort. I was initially disappointed becase (1) the club stank of cigarette smoke and (2) the track list was so hip-hop. They played Nelly and some tunes I used to love when I was in high school. Once Daft Punk got into the mix however, I was a happy boy. Then I just completely lost my shit when Lady Gaga exploded from the speakers. And by that I mean I was dancing like a maniac and Shey was, too, then she knocked my drink off my hand and spilled it all over the damn floor. But of course no one cared. It was sick. I loved it.

It's mainly hip-hop with a punch of electronica and dance, finished with a lot of hotness.

There's nothing like dancing like a sweaty beast, drinking like a fish and smelling like shit when partying.

At 3 am, we decided to leave since I had to work five hours later. Shey and I made a little video while looking for a cab but I deleted it because it's too painful to watch.

We had to drop by McDonald's (Greenbelt) because there's nothing like pigging out after drinking and dancing.--- That bitch of a crew member messed up our orders which we didn't notice until we hopped in a cab so we had to make another stop (Mini Stop) for a bottle of water.

This is me stuffing my face with junk.

Anyway, it was a good night. No, it was an awesome night.

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Bitch even ruined her stockings.

Hello 911? I think I'm about to get murdered by my friend.

We should do this again soon.

Gaga Gang (1)

As I've mentioned, this weekend was so much fun albeit tiring. My good friend Shey from Iloilo visited and you know some crazy shit went down. The reason I say that is because we do things that we normally wouldn't do with other people (i.e. run along EDSA while rain is pouring, or eat at KFC in two separate tables and pretend we don't know each other).

Meet Shey. She gets paid to write about flirting and seduction.

We booked a room at the Renaissance Makati where we took tons of pictures of course. Spending a night there by the way is already crazy because we're both currently poor so yeah, any sponsorship for our next bonding time together would be greatly appreciated.

Once done with saying how much we miss each other, unpacking and cam-whoring, we headed to Greenbelt which is just across the street and had dinner at Cafe Mediterranean. Surprisingly, Shey now eats a decent amount of food. This is bad news for me because I'm used to finishing everything.

"I hate my hair." "I hate my skin."

The with and the emo kid.

Thank god for mirrors.

What?

Around 11 pm, when we couldn't take any more pictures (within the confines of the room at least), we finally decided to leave and hit the clubs.

Unfortunately, diamonds are forming in my bladder right now and I'm starvation central so I'll finish this next time, ok? Again, blame PLDT because our phone and DSL won't get connected until 1 or 2 weeks from now. That's fucked up.

Coming up:

Bye for now!

Craziness All Over: Moi On Youngblood

My gawd! Last weekend was so freakin' insane! It was super fun albeit tiring. First, yours truly is now working the day shift acting as one of the (tor)mentors of the newbies at work. Then, my very, very good friend Shey came over from Iloilo for 2 days of debauchery--more on that next time when I have all the photos uploaded. Lastly, I almost shit my pants yesterday when I found out the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the biggest daily in the country, published my article under their Youngblood section!

It really is a dream come true because I've been a big fan of Youngblood since high school. I have all the three books. I've never been confident enough though to actually submit an article, until about two weeks ago.

I wrote the article way back in January/February for our office blog but it never got published for some reason. The next thing I know, my former supervisor and a colleague were congratulating me upon entering the office yesterday morning.

It sucks that I never got a copy but my father is a subscriber so there's one at home. Ugh. I'm so ecstatic about it.

More of these soon:

Good night!
