Manila- So Far

Where do I start? Today is labor day and it's the only chance I got to go online and whine and blab endlessly. My god, these past days have been soo... surreal?

I started work a little over a week ago. The first three days were great. Ugh. I haven't blogged for like a millennium I don't even know which one to talk about first. SO, I'll just opt for bullets.

Things I got myself involved in the past weeks here in Manila:
  • Started work last April 23 and humuliated self when I had to complete the sentence "I'm hot because..." Ugh. Bithces laughed at cos they thought I said bitch instead of beach. Uh-oh, some people forgot to clear their ears. Fuck it though, I was back in the horse the second time I completed the same sentence. This time, they laughed with me, not at me.

  • Met a few people at work. I swear to god that place is a melting pot of all forms of people. And I must say, there's quite a lot of cuties there.

  • Last Saturday, my gang and I went to to our company's Summer Carnivale event. It was great coz after that, a cuosin treated us to what might be the hottest club in the metro, Embassy Supper Club. She was leaving for Singapore in two days we talked her into shelling out some casd before she flies away. Anyway, the place is nothing out of the ordinary. Of course it's not ugly but it's not spectacular either. I love the lighting though. However, what really ticked me off was the smoke. Gawd. I felt like I was in some sort of gas chamber a la genocide killings or something. But it was generally fun, the music, the people (ok some of the people), the drinks, the vibe, ahluvet.

  • I have not gone shopping yet and I hate it. I've been doing my own laundry and house chores to save up. Gawd, I feel like a new person. A poverty-stricken, ugly beggar person. Hahahahah... Oh well, independence has its price.

I'm chatting with s friend right now and I don't have to for reminiscing. I'm gonna update as soon as I can. For the meantime, I have to memorize airport codes. And while I do that, I'll leave it to the pictures to tell my stories.

Arrival- The ego has landed.

Even my business class ticket couldn't accommodate all my luggage. By the way, I didn't know there's business class in the domestic flights of the third world. That was my first time.

The company summer party- there was a concert, free food, strange people, underpaid employees, yaddi yaddi yadda... I'm kidding. It was okay.

The real party begins...

Never mind my outfit. Everything was so sudden.

It was a good night.

Hair Talk
I had a P300 haircut today. I'm not ecstatic about the result but at least my hair looks mnore respectable now. I've been meaning to get a haircut. In fact, I wanna hunt for this salon(?) in Jupiter St. Makati where there's this Korean guy who cuts hair. The haircuts he does are apparently edgy and unconventional. I read about him in thew papers I think or magazine. Anyway, I didn't have time to scour the Makati district for this chink-eyed haircut master so I just went to Gateway's Menage Salon.

Do I have STD?
My two friends slash future co-workers slash hoursemates are scheduled to have our medical check-up tomorrow. That means I have to put a sample of my shit in a bottle or jar first thing in the morning. I hope the results turn oput fine.

State of Mind
About this whole boredom, uninspiration thing, well, I think I'm doing better. I hope I'll keep feeling better in the days to come. I mean really, I'll start working in two days and I'
m very anxious about it. I don't wanna screw up.

Whine much?

I have been bored these past couple of days. Not even Manila has cured this severe uninspiring state of mind I'm in. I've tried to be positive but it just doesn't work. What the hell is this, some sort of mid-life crisis or something? Gawd, I just entered my twenties.

To keep myself occupied and avoid negative energies that damage my sensibilities, I've been busy working out, running a few errands, processing papers for work, eating, watching Ugly Betty and reading. I bought two books on Monday so I can do something during the down times. I got Youngblood 3 and something from David Sedaris. I forgot the title but it has the words "pretty", "got", "me" and naked in it. I'm on Youngblood as of the moment. It's a compilation of essays by the twentysomething and younger Filipino youth. So far so good.

Anyway, back to my dilemma. I know all I do here is whine but whatever. Someday, I wanna be able to browse through this blog from a better place. Hopefully I'm all rich at that time and I'm wearing Dior Homme and Louis Vuitton and the rest of the gang. You know what I mean. And oh, by that time, I hope I'm somewhere in Paris or London or Brazil partying my ass off with a lover... or two? Hahahah... whatever. Here I go again with the daydreaming. Gawd, I can't even think of the job I'll start doing this Monday. I really don't know what to expect but a fully air-conditioned office swarmed with yuppies. Oh well. It's my first job so what do I expect right?

I can go on and on with the whining and the dreaming but I gotta go walking with my friend/housemate at the Baywalk. She flew in this morning. We'll be living together with another friend/schoolmate./ She'll arrive tomorrow. All three of us will try to stand each other living in a 2-bedroom condominium unit and work in the same office. No major complains so far on my end.

Lots and lots of luck and positivity for me. Ciao.

I don't what title I should have for this post but it concerns my trip to Manila.

I'm finally here in Manila. It's just strange coz this whole trip doesn't really excite me anymore. Maybe because I'm here to work and not to shop my ass off like the last times I went here? Gawd, I'm so old. I'd have to live on my own means now. The thought really scares me. I know how impulsive I am. Shopping malls are the enemy.

My cousin and I went to Mall of Asia (biggest mall in this part of the world I think) on my first day. Had an okay time there. I was really tired from all the going out and the lack of sleep.

I've been working out by the way. I'm trying you know. After all that booze I downed this past days, going to the gym makes perfect sense.

I'm supposed to post pictures I took when I left the airport going to the condo but I left the camera at the unit. Anyway, I'm too tired to recollect the things that happened in my first days in manila. There's this one thing that stands out though, two words: hook up.

I'm tired and my body is in pain everytime I move a muscle. Wish me luck. Lots of that. I need positivity. I need zest! Whatever. Nighters.

Hello Alchy

Went out with brother and cousin again. And then my sister went with us in the later part. I'm hammered. I've been drinking four nights in a row. Hello rehab.

Packed my stuff today. Things are getting serious. Departure is nearing. I'm getting more anxious. I hope I'm hoping for happiness, improvement, stability, success and love. Whatev.

I'm really not sober right now. Good night.

Going Out

Hi. I'm about to go out with my relatives to celebrate a cousin's college graduation. Hot.

Today was okay. Yesterday however, was quite better. We went to the beach and I flew a kite. And then last night, for the 4th time in a week, I boozed up with my brother and another cousin. It was fun but I hate it that I think I'm getting fat. Well, I don't think I'm fat but I gained weight. And I have to do some abdominal excercises, like, soon. I seriously have to lose this shiteous belly. It's not that big but I despise flabs. Gawd, why is it just so hard to tighten my mid-section? And it doesn't help that I've been liquor-chugging alcoholic lately. Ugh.

I'm gonna end this post. Have to fix myself up.

Jinxed

Once again, I'm hammered. Had brandy (I think) with my brother and cousin. It was fun. I can't even type properly right now.

By the way, my flight, which was supposed to be this Saturday, has been postponed for some complicated reason. I'm not happy about it but whatever. At least I get to hang around at home longer. It sucks though. I was totally psyched. Ugh. I don't even wanna elaborate too much on this subject. The more I talk about my plans, the more they don't materialize.

I don't have time to whine right now. A little tipsy here. I gotta go. Nighters.

For Dreams Slash Delusions

I'm back home from what could be my last trip to Iloilo in half a year. That's a long time.

Yesterday was quite a Monday. Hahah... It was filled with "excitement". Ahluvet.

Anyway, I met up with friends. No. I met up with friends and we slept together.

The girls got a little emotional when I had to say goodbye. Actually, I got a little teary myself, thanks to those bitches. It's gonna be quite a while before we get together again. And you know what lengthy separations do to relationships. *sigh* Oh well, God knows what we'll be like with each other a year or two from now.

Here I go again with the drama.

Bottom line is, I'm soo sooo soooo thankful to have found such great friends. Really. College wouldn't have been the same without them.

I've been saying I'm leaving for Manila in half a week and I still don't have a friggin' ticket. How awesome. I'll deal with that tomorrow. Gawd, there's like a million things on my to-do list. I really should start packing tomorrow. I mean really, I have what, three days left?! Ugh. By the way, airlines should really increase the baggage weight allowance in their flights. Seriously. Otherwise, I'll be hopelessly broke by the time I get to Manila for hauling excessive crap.

Transition

Hi.

Current mood: tensed/anxious

I'm really getting concerned. In less than a week, I'll be flying to Manila to work there and live independently and pobably rely only on my own hard-earned money. It's exciting. But the thought of leaving home for not less than six months is quite scary. I know this new level of independence will bring about a lot of positive rewards but the responsibilities and the risks are massive. I'm still up for this challenge but I can only hope I'll last. I really don't want to go home broke, jobless with horrible stories about getting mugged and fired from work and how I can't stand my new lifestyle. Ugh. That's really a nightmare.

I wanna be rich, succesful and if possible, famous. I wanna bask in the glory of triumph with the world at my feet. Hahahah... Dreams. Ahluvet.

But seriuosly, this whole transition is getting me worried. God knows what lies ahead. Jeez. Listen to me. This is what I want! I've been looking forwar to this! Ugh/ Oh well. I might as well give it a shot. I just hope everything to be safe and have fun, try to savor every experience and it's all good.

Anyway, I was soo hammered last night. I had one too many drinks with my brother and cousin at the beach. It was crazy. I don't even know how I handled it but I downed a total of seven bottles of beer. I have to admit that I'm not exactly a hardass drinker but that's quite a lot of booze I had last night. That was really fun though. First, my brother's baby/my nephew and my sister joined us for some chicken and pork barbecue. Then, an hour later, there's the three of us chugging away. I had a great time.

That's all for now. Gotta hit the sack in a while. Still have to wake up early and go out of town for some business at school. I know, summer is heating up, and I already graduated but I still have to worry about school. Awesome. Whatever. I hope to hang out with my friends.

Happy Easter. Nighters.

Is this life or a bullet train?

It's Good Friday and we're going to join the prosession this afternoon just like we do every single year. It's funny how other peolple, especially folks in the province observe lent very intently and follow every single tradition while others take advantage of the holidays and go on a vacation, booze up and party. Oh well, I respect everyone's decision. It's your prerogative. And quite honestly, I really wanna be in Boracay right now and tan myself crispy and party like it's my birthday.

Gawd, I miss Boracay mucho mucho.

I was in Iloilo last Monday (province) and Tuesday as well as half of Wednesday (city) to visit rlatives and process my NBI clearance for this job in Manila. Man, was that a trip.

Since I no longer live in that apartment I've been renting for almost three years, I had to get a cheap space where I can leave my things, sleep and bathe. I had my target spots and budget. However, thanks to my bowels, I ended up spending five times my supposed accommodation allowance. In short, I had to shit so badly while looking for a place to stay in, I just had to go for the nearest because shit was about to shoot out of my ass. Seriously, I just didn't have time to go somewhere else because my stomach was going balistic. I had to ignore the price just so I can use the toilet and avoid littering all over the streets. Ugh. That's some expenxice shit right there. Anwyay, it's all good. The place was fairly nice and it somehow saved me from public humiliation.

On the serious side, I'm leaving for Manila in a week for a 6-month working contract with a company in Makati, the capital's business district. I'm anxious. I dunno, it's strange how everything is getting serious. I can still vividly remember how I spent my first days of college in a university where I barely knew a soul and in a city over a hundred kilometers away from home. Oh well, memories. I'll miss my friends the most though. The mayhem we are when we're together. I guess everyone in a circle of friends think of it that way. We could all agree that the craziest, wackiest times we've had are spent with our closest BFFs.

Back to my career venture, two friends and co-workers and I are going to stay in a condo. We're gonna be renting the place. I love it there because of the environment. I like meeting new faces in the elevator each ride.
I like the rush. I would know, I stayed there for almost two months last year when I had my internship.

Wow.

It never fails to amaze me how fast things are.

Life zooms. Drama anyone?l

Pictionary

It's been days since my graduation and I'm finalizing things for this job waiting for me in Manila. It's holy week and I have been anything but holy. There's so much to do before I fly to El Manille. Thank god I already have a place to stay in. Anyway, I don't have time as usual. So I'll just resort to a pictionary.

The photos were taken on the night of my graduation after we had dinner at Emilion. It was fun playing around the hotel room.

That's my sister in the background. That's hot.

Those are my cousins this time stealing my thunder. Ugh.

Own it.

I'm floored. lol

sup?

Chic or cheap?

Whatev.

Nighters.

Yesterday

Yesterday, March 28, 2007, was graduation. It's surreal now that I think about it. Wow, it's been four years and I've finally come to this. I'm officially a student no more. I can still remember how I felt during my first day in college. And I hate firsts days of class. That was really depressing. Imagine how difficult it is living somewhere else on your own. I think if there's one thing that college truly instilled in me, it's independence. I'm very happy about that.

A lot of people say high school will always be the best time of one's school life. Hmm... I disagree. I think high school is fun but a little shallow. College has depth. It's like high school one big movie, while college is reality, err... maybe reality TV. Nonetheless, college has been an amazing ride. I learned, I love, I won, I lost, I experienced college. Ugh. I am in such a dramatic mood right now.

I was actually reading this card that a really, really close friend gave me yesterday during the ceremony before we were playing Yes or No--It's this thing we do when we're bored where we ask each other whether we'd sleep with these random people that we spot or remember.-- And voila, I was in tears. Jeez, I'm such a sucker for good memories. It's actually the good memories that make me cry more, not the bad ones. God knows how much I appreciate the people that touched my life in the past four years. I'm going to terribly miss my friends.

I had such great times with you guys. You're one of the best parts of college. Nostalgia will haunt me because of you. Thank you so much for the both the good and bad times.

By the way, I missed the processional part of the ceremony because I was late. I was so freakin' busy pigging out and lounging at the hotel. Then I realized I forgot my shoes. Ugh. Long story. I was late and I my tie was not properly put. I had to ask help from somebody from another section.

Anyway, after the almost five-hour ceremony and the picture-taking extravaganza, my family and I went to dinner. We had a reservation, courtesy of moi, at Emilion Restaurant. It's this nice place by the river that serves great Filipino food. I filled myself like crazy with sinigang, crispy pata and what not. We enjoyed the yummy food and we savored it al fresco.

At about 11 PM, we went out bar-hopping, danced, drank. I was with family and friends and money. Hahah... That was so much FUN FUN FUN! I love partying with good company AND unlimited time and budget. Oh well, who doesn't?

We capped off the debauchery with coffee at La Terraza. There were only four of us then, family. That was also a nice time of laughing and talking.

I can't think/write very well right now because I still haven't slept decently as of late.

That's enough for now. Nighters.

Body Pictionary

It's 5 AM and I'm still up like an excited cock. Insomnia is a hard battle, really.

Anyway, I've been online for at least five hours and I finally have the time AND guts for this pictionary.

The body is a temple which should be regarded highly, sacred even for some. Which is why you gotta fucking praise the following pictures! Hahahahahah... Enjoy!

What do you think? That's my apartment by the way. I'm renting the place and I'm gonna have to leave soon. Gawd, if only those cracked walls could talk.

I'm too chicken shit to include the nude ones in this pictionary. Maybe next time. lol

Anyway, shout out to Dakota for bearing with me a few minutes ago at YM.

I'm gonna try sleeping now. I feel like I'm graduslly turninh into a zombie or something. Nighters.

Graduation

I am so gonna graduate! And I made it to the Dean's List! Whew. Surreal.

Yup. Finished the goddamn thesis the other day. I passed the bound copies yesterday. Gawd, after a century, I'm finally done with that research/production.

Anyway, graduation is in five days. I'm gonna wear this "obedient" long sleeved shirt I got from a store named Loalde. I refer to their stuff as affordable couture. They have reallt nice pieces there. But back to me. We're supposed to wear a tie with the shirt and I haven't decided yet which one to wear. I bought four.
What do you think? I'm really liking the plum one with the diamond pattern.

I'm gonna miss my friends terribly. I don't know what's ahead but whatever. What goes goes right? This is really it.

Random Rants

I think I'm really gonna graduate. Okay, that declaration came with a fear of getting jinxed. Whatever My thesis has been in a lot of progress thank god. I've been working on it really hard. Jeez, I've missed soo much sleep over that. Well, actually, I've lost soo much sleep on my thesis AND drinking/hanging out with friends.

I had a haircut three days ago. That fat bitch at the salon didn't do sucha great job on me. I don't like it. What do yu think? I'm planning to get another haircut in a few days when I have time.

Anyway, it's my Uncle's burial this afternoon. Still not sure what I'm wearing.

Remember the black jeans I was ranting about? You know, the one I got from Topman which I thought I lost? Ugh. Thank god Mom found it. In her closet! Jeez... I was freaking out when I was looking for it in my apartment. Thank god she found the damn jeans. Whew.

Moreover...

Take a peek.

This is what happens when you have too much time at 1 am.

Coming soon:

Later.

Random Rants

Plain Day

How boring and unproductive is this day? My god, all I did was eat, go online, then eat, go online, whine, worry... It's frustrating. Seriously. I didn't even chat online 'coz everybody's offline or the ones online are just plain boring, safe, assholes or perverts.

This is one of those days when you either want to sleep really, really late because you wanna make the most of the day hoping everything will come together or sleep early thinking there will be a better day when you wake up. I don't which I want to do.

Shout Out
Shout out to Dakota for visiting and leaving a comment. Gotta appreciate that. Nobody reads the shit I put here. I barely get comments; like rain during summer. It sucks. Whatever.

School

I'm gonna go to school tomorrow. Have to deal with a lot of stuff, and attend a meeting. I intend to wake up early but God knows what time I'll get out of bed.

I'm soo bored I'm just gonna post these pictures I took within the past weeks/months.
Pictionary

Say hello to my hometown's beach.

Boredom, Babies, Hospitals

It's a sunny Monday afternoon here at home and I haven't taken a bath yet. Thought I'd go online and check mails and maybe chat.

It's been an hour and I'm still talking to myself. And the fact that this freakin' computer works like a dumb snail is not helping. Gawd, computer errors, fucked up connections and the like irritate me soo freakin' much. I am bored out of my wits right now. There's nothing good on TV either. I swear just checked it. I've already browsed through some websites and dissected perezhilton.com and I'm still not happy. Ugh.

I don't know, but I have a feeling my life is in some sort of... what do they call it? Turning point? I don't know. I mean, college is almost over, then I have this job waiting in Manila, so I have to fly there and have a different lifestyle and all. Wow. it's nauseating. Everything. But of course before the major changes occur, I still have to deal with a gazillion of other things as of the moment. Case in point; my thesis. It's not even finished yet. And then I have to move out of that place I've been staying in for the last three years. Then "talk" to some friends about stuff. Gawd, there's just soooo much to do. Where do I start?

My baby nephew is about to go out of the hospital today. Thank God he's okay now. I can't stand crying babies OR hospitals. Depressing. Very depressing. Anyway, I love him much. Hospitals however---so freakin' depressing. I swear to God I can't stand it. The smell, the look, the interiors. Hospitals are just the opposite of cozy.

I stink and my face is oil centrale. I gotta go. Bye.

Black Denim Anger

I'm soo freakin' pissed. No, I am outraged.

Just got back from the hospital. My newphew got admitted. The poor thing's sick. Anyway, that's not what this emotional bomb is about.

I don't know but I suddenly thought about this black pair of denim pants I got from Topman last December and I thought I'd wear it this week. Problem is, I haven't seen it lately. So I looked for it. All over the house. And it's fucking missing. The helper can't friggin' find the damn jeans either.

Gawd, I am so gonna murder someone if I lose it. I wouldn't be able to sleep well tonight because of this. It's a favorite dammit. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

Anyway, I'm chatting with a hottie right now who's been keeping me entertained for the last hour. Diversion, diversion, diversion. That's exactly what I need right at the moment. Which is why I gotta go. Nighters.

Off Guard

My Uncle died yesterday. And I got the news while I was in a movie house with friends. No I didn't cry or sob or anything like that. I was caught off guard though. Minutes before that, it was the first time I knew about his condition. Relatives told me that he was deteriorating. But I never expected that he would pass in a few hours. It's saddening. However, everyone seems to be okay. Or at least the ones I saw today. Haven't gone to the wake yet. Maybe later with my sister and cousin. God bless his soul.

What the hell. Just this very moment, my sister sent an SMS telling me my baby nephew has to be admitted to the hospital. Gawd, what' up with this? Gotta go. Ugh.

Thursday, March 08, 2007

Bora Loca

Soo busy. I can't be bothered to write too much shit right now. My thesis is a wrok in progress. Gradual progress.

I'm in the mall again. Waiting for a friend. Remember that little trip to Boracay 2 weeks ago? It paid off pretty well. It was actually for two of our school projects. It was crazy. Loca indeed.

Here's a little pictionary.

Friends and I at Juice.

Who wouldn't love Boracay? God this place is paradise. It's really one of my most favoritest places.

My hair AND skin are an abomination. Period.
Gotta love fire zipping.

Ugh. I look so frigginn' tourist-y here. Eew.

Put the aah... in Bora.

Marching On

Final exams and I'm here in the mall with friends.

God, too bad I didn't have the time to blog the past days. Two friends and moi went toBORACAY last weekend. Jeez, was that a great time. It was so friggin' awesome alright. Hope to post some more pics soon. Words cannot describe how beautiful thatv place is. I love it there. It's one of my most favritest destinations. The place is fucking orgasmic.

Anyway, graduation is so near yet so far. Finished the first draft of my thesis but it's still a mountain of work. School, as usual, is stressful. But I'm enjoying part of it thanks to friends--and monetary allowance.

Speaking of graduation, two weeks after that, I'm off to Manille to work! Yes, like, salary-office-fuck-co-worker work. I'm having a hard time digesting it but yes in a matter of weeks, I'll be back in Manila and work my ass off. There's so many things to think about like lodging, food, outfits and money. I don't even want to elaborate on those. Oh well, I really hope I'll earn money sufficient enough for my "needs". I wanna shop every two weeks dang it! And I also want wine+dine+fine, and a fling or two.
That's it for now. It's the first day of the month so I have to straighten up my act. Not that I believe in all that superstition bull but I seriously have to focus, focus, focus. I can't afford to mess up during this critical period of my life.
